Long Island lactation support

Why would a new parent attend a Long Island lactation support meeting?

It has been said that breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world – but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Expectant parents may attend a meeting for advice on choosing a breast pump, or for information on how to choose between breastfeeding or bottle feeding as a primary means of providing nutrition for their newborn.

Parents of newborns may attend to learn about different breastfeeding positions, or for emotional support when the demands of caring for a newborn feels overwhelming.

First time moms or experienced parents may attend for help with nipple pain, weak latch, supply issues, and other common breastfeeding complaints.

Parents of toddlers may attend looking for advice on tandem nursing, breastfeeding through a pregnancy, or weaning.

Whatever reason brings you to a lactation support meeting, you’re sure to leave feeling supported and uplifted.

Parenting is easier with a community

The goal of these Long Island lactation support meetings is to provide advice and guidance, as well as a supportive peer community for new parents.
